Neck wrap

I sewed these two neck wraps...not sure exactly what to call them yet, the purple one is double sided and is mine. The grey one I made for a white elephant gift with my family and it went to my oldest sister who had been wanting me to make her one. I saw something similar at the Crafty Wonderland sale for $60, so decided that I should try to make one. Such a simple design. My mom really wants one, so maybe when I make hers I will do a step by step photo tutorial on it.

Stocking stuffers

I made these cute little treat bags as stocking stuffers for my niece and daughter. I filled them with chocolate covered raisins and suckers. All I did was cut out shapes from paper bags(these happen to come from some holiday Trader Joes grocery bags) sew around the edge in a contrasting color, leaving a small opening, fill with desired treats or small toys, then finish off by sewing up the opening. You can leave a small tail of thread as something to grab and tear it open with. I thought these were cute and good little stocking stuffers. They would also work well as something to give little guests at a birthday party or something to carry as a special treat in your purse.

Gingerbread house

I have always wanted to make a gingerbread house from scratch, it is just not going to happen this year. Instead Lucy and I bought a kit from Target and assembled it. It left a lot to be desired in the taste department, but we had fun decorating it. Maybe next year I will find the time to make one from scratch:)

Ostich print

I bought this print at Crafty Wonderland, and I love it! My husband framed it in a black frame, and now it hangs where I can see it every day and it makes me smile.

Photo Wall

I have been wanting to do a family photo wall for a long time. Now we finally did it and I love it! We hung various pictures of our two girls and us all in various black frames. We just chose pictures that we loved or reminded us of good times and framed them. This is in our dining room, so I love being able to see these every night as we sit down to dinner. Thank you to my husband for helping in this whole process.

Gift Jars

My husband and I assembled these last night for our family for Christmas gifts. They were fun to make and look beautiful, and will hopefully taste yummy too. From left to right in the photo we made; curried lentil soup, chocolate chip oat bread, chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. We then printed labels for each with instructions for any additional ingredients needed and how to cook/bake and prepare. I know I would love to receive one:)

Advent calendar

My 3 year old daughter loves doing crafts, so the two of us made this advent calendar from old cardboard gift boxes. We spray painted them, then I cut out circles from scrap booking paper and with foam tape taped on the circles, then painted the numbers on for each day. I just attached to the end of a book case in our living room with poster stick it, easy to remove when done. I filled the boxes with things my daughter would love small suckers, erasers, pencils, hot chocolate, gum drops...The excitement of what box she gets to open every morning till Christmas is priceless! I will save the boxes and do again for years to come.
